Coffee Education Classes

Jan and Steve would love to share their knowledge with you about all things coffee! We've done classes for groups of various sizes (10-20 is optimal) and coffee experience, all at very reasonable rates.

Coffee 101

Our introduction to coffee growing, processing, roasting and brewing is ideal for a broad audience that wants to know more about what they drink each day. We cover the production of coffee from farm to cup, and offer a number of suggestions on how to improve one's daily brew. This class runs for about 40 minutes, plus Q&A. It's free for non-profits, so contact us and schedule us for your next meeting!

The Coffee Experience: Deconstructed

This class offers a much deeper dive into everything touched on in Coffee 101. We explain much more about the coffee roasting process, decoding flavor in coffee, and brewing methods. We mix it up with interactive sample tastings to help attendees better evaluate coffees. Add in lots of additional information about decaf and shopping for coffee, and any other topics attendees might be interested in.

The class runs for about 2 hours, plus Q&A, and costs $15 per person with a 10-person minimum. Let us know plenty of time in advance, and we'll work with you to and help advertise, to make it a memorable time for your group!
