Guatemala Huehuetenango La Morena

The Huehuetenango region of Guatemala is well known for its excellent coffee beans. High elevation and drier climate means the beans develop slowly, building sugars and flavor over a longer period. What's different about this particular Huehue coffee? The growers!

Over 800 women farmers in the region have partnered together to bring you this coffee with a distinct flavor profile They're part of the La Morena project, which ensures farmgate prices for these exclusively female farmers, and also provides them with training in modern growing and processing techniques, as well as entrepreneurship and skills training. This improves the quality of their coffee and helps them gain recognition and economic stability. 

We're honoring the La Morena women by highlighting this coffee's bright sweetness and smoothness. Roasted light-medium, we catch chocolate brownie, brown sugar and green apple notes. Balanced, refreshing, enjoyable with any brewing method.
